Welcome to the beginning of Moon Talk Designs, LLC!

I was asked to share the trials and tribulations of starting a business from the beginning! On a shoe string budget! And on a wing and a prayer! These are my thoughts, right or wrong, as we grow. We hope you will continue to watch us and our growth. And we hope IF you are starting your own business, you will avoid some of the mistakes we make! If you avoid even one simple wrong turn, this was worth my time and effort putting this together!
Enjoy the ride....
.......to the moon!!

This is where OTHER THOUGHTS comes into play!

Only in a small town could you wave to or be waved to by at least 8 out of 10 cars! And then stop in the middle of the road to visit with a friend without being honked at... because the car behind you wants to say hi to them too!

Only in a small town can you walk in the diner and sit at any one of the full tables and visit with an old friend....and the waitress brings you our order without even asking you what you want!

Only in a small town can you miss the director of the chamber at their office, drive past the coffee shop and notice the only Prius in town and know that they are there!  ( and stop in to let them know you missed them and maybe even join them for lunch! )

Only in a small town can you go to the bank every Friday and know they will have either lunch  (an employee cook off of some sort) OR cookies and brownies waiting for you!

Only in a small town can you go to the hardware store and tell the clerk that you need two more of the 'thingies' your husband bought the day before and they know just what you are talking about, even though YOU don't !  The owner even went to a friends house, one time,  to help him fix a water leak  and wouldn't take anything for his kindness! That is small town!

Why am I writing this today? Because I LOVE living in a small town and I just needed to reflect on it.  Sometimes you take things for granted and forget just how important they are!  Some people like to get 'lost' in the city... that might be nice once in a while, but for me... I'd rather know where I'm going and where I've been! (everyone else does anyway, if I forget what I was doing... all I have to do is ask anyone and they can fill me in!)

Have a wonderful Christmas and if you are my neighbor..... You would be expecting my famous beer bread. But  I got a bit creative this year and made it special... just for you!

Thank you for being a part of my life! You have made every day a memory!

  1. That is awesome Bobby. I lived in a village of a few hundred people for years. It was such a friendly place. Now I am back in a metropolis and I do run into someone I know it's like a gift because that doesn't happen often.

TO keep that small town feel, I wave to gardeners, say hello to other walkers and chat with my librarians. It helps that I have that small town vibe in my head. I just want to say hello to EVERYONE!
